We believe that what is planted in one generation can transform the generations that follow. By creating opportunities, strengthening connections, and providing practical resources and support, we help youth and families build strong foundations for today—and lasting legacies for tomorrow.

Long before JMC Legacy Foundation had a name, its roots were being planted through the lives of Johnnie and Margarette — two remarkable women whose strength, courage, resilience, and determination helped shape our family for generations.
Beginning in the 1970s, both women were entrepreneurs in South Central Los Angeles. At a time when opportunities for Black women in business were limited, they built, created, persevered, and invested in the community around them.
